An interesting article I found online, “Your e-mail inbox is a metaphor for your life” Originally from the Wall Street Journal, explains how people’s inbox habits mirror personality traits.
I thought about it for a second, and I think it’s pretty bang on. My email is not “conventionally” organized, I never move anything out of my inbox (except for Spam) but I usually know where I can find any message I need to dig up. Plus, I do follow up and reply in a sometimes ridiculously timely manner. And that’s pretty much what I’m like with everything else in life.
So read the article, and take a minute to look at your inbox.. is that really what you want to be perceived as?
